Wrapped Up In Ribbon

When it comes to belly bands to hold your invitations together, we have tons of options. But one that seems to be trending is raw edge ribbon.

Raw edge ribbon almost has an unfinished look. But we have used it on both traditional style invites and modern invites alike. It also comes in many colors, so there is definitely something for everyone.

Check out these invites and how we used raw edge ribbon as a belly band for each of them- and save them to your dream wedding Pinterest board!

Blushing Baby Shower Invites

These beautiful shower invites are just perfection. Deckled edges paired with raw edge ribbon wrapped around each invite are fun details that make these invites unique. The blush colored ribbon pairs perfectly with the pink floral graphics printed in the corners of the invite.

Go For The Green

Green accents all around for these classic, neutral wedding invitations. The green ribbon is a perfect match for both the text, as well as the cardstock used to create the border around the main invite. While the insert cards are held in place inside the back pocket of the enclosure, the raw edge ribbon is simply a fun detail added to customize these invites and really make them stand out.

Fun with Floral Vellum

For these invites, the raw edge ribbon serves the purpose of holding the vellum closed around each invitation. Beautiful floral graphics are printed right on the vellum, which is then wrapped around the invite. Ivory raw edge ribbon is tied neatly in a small knot with the tails cut on an angle.

Simply Stacked

For these invites, the ribbon is actually what holds all the pieces of this invitation suite together.  The main invite is glued to a layer of green cardstock, and then to another layer of pale beige cardstock. We then tied taupe colored raw edge around the invite, and slipped the insert cards under the ribbon in the back of the invitation.
