A Border and Florals
Our couple chose to incorporate some traditional Chinese symbols in their Save the Dates for an October wedding. In Chinese culture, the color red symbolizes happiness, good luck, prosperity and celebration. The backer that frames the Save the Date is a metallic red cardstock, and all of the text is printed in red as well. Beautiful cherry blossom trees frame the invite, and are also very popular in Chinese culture. At the top there is also a Chinese symbol meaning “double happiness” and is often used on items associated with marriage.
The Chinese symbol for “double happiness” is often seen on wedding stationery as it represents joy and happiness for the new couple.

Single Side with a Watercolor Image
We designed these Save the Dates for a wedding in the Fall in Newport, Rhode Island. Touches of script are mixed in with classic print fonts. A watercolor image of the Newport Harbor Lighthouse is also printed on the Save the Date. An image of where your wedding is taking place is a great way to personalize your wedding stationery.

Custom Panel Pocket
For these Save the Dates, we made custom sized panel pockets to hold a small calendar in the back. We used a combination of modern script and print fonts on both the front of the Save the Date as well as the insert card. A copper band with a monogram is wrapped around the bottom as a finishing touch.

A Vellum Overlay
This style of Save the Dates is definitely a popular one for our couples. The name of the couple as well as the date and location of the wedding are printed on a small piece of vellum. The vellum is fastened to a beautiful black and white photo of the newly engaged couple with a small gold brad in the upper corner.
