Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Tully. They tied the knot in July 2021 at the gorgeous Stone House at Stirling Ridge. We loved designing their sweet and romantic wedding invitation suite, featuring blush florals with sage and gold accents.
Katelyn and Christopher are sharing all of the details of their wedding day - read on and swoon over their stunning photos, captured by Abigail Gingerale Photography.
APS: Tell us about your wedding day. The date, place and any extra fun details you would like to share.
Katelyn: Chris and I were married on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Chatham, NJ. Our reception followed at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren, NJ. We fell in love with the Stone House as soon as we saw it. The grounds were so beautiful, and the venue had the rustic romantic feel we were looking for. Despite starting the day with tornado warnings and pouring rain, the weather cleared up before the Church, and it ended up being the perfect July day to celebrate our love surrounded by family and friends.
APS: How do you remember that special day? Any great memory that stands out?
Katelyn: Chris and I were so in sync and made sure to be there for one another throughout the entire day and night, taking it all in together. I remember sitting at our Mr. & Mrs. table at the reception and looking around, seeing all our family and friends together in one place, smiling, laughing, having a great time and celebrating us. It was such a wonderful feeling.
APS: What is your favorite part about being married?
Katelyn: Experiencing this new chapter of life together as a team. We love traveling together and just recently traveled to Hawaii. We are looking forward to many more adventures over the years. All of these experiences are even more special being married!
APS: Describe your wedding theme. Why did you choose this vibe?
Katelyn: Rustic. Romantic. Elegant.
We wanted our wedding day to feel romantic, alluring and inviting, yet still easygoing and fun. With our wedding being in July, I loved the idea of soft color palettes, lots of greenery and outdoorsy elements. We wanted a feeling of simplicity and comfort, yet to still include beautiful rustic and dreamy touches. We even added small touches to include our dogs since they couldn't be there for our big day. My sister created a beautiful signature drink sign with adorable portraits of our pups, and greenery around them to match our theme.
APS: How did you decide on your wedding invitation design?
Katelyn: We knew we wanted to incorporate colors of sage, blush, and ivory, but we weren’t exactly sure of a specific design. We did know that we wanted to build off of our rustic and romantic wedding theme, and Lisa helped us create that perfectly. She is so talented and knowledgeable and showed us so many different variations and samples and helped us create the perfect design to match our style.
APS: What design element or feature was a “must have” for your wedding invitations?
Katelyn: In addition to being set on our color scheme of sage, blush, and ivory, we really wanted a song request card with our invitations because we knew that would be fun for us and our guests during the reception. We wanted the invitations to be elegant and to also match our fun loving personalities. Lisa delivered and made it all come to life in such a beautiful and engaging way.
APS: What advice do you have for other brides and grooms looking to incorporate their theme or personal elements into their wedding invitations?
Katelyn: It’s ok if you don’t know exactly what you want for your wedding invitations right away. Look around, browse different styles, and once you have your wedding theme and colors – Lisa will take it from there. There are so many different styles and variations you will be able to create something that is beautiful and unique to you and your partner!
